Deep Learning INDABA X Namibia is a locally organised INDABA that helps spread knowledge and builds capacity in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in Namibia. Our mission is to strengthen Namibia AI/ML by building communities, creating leadership, and recognising excellence in research and practical applications by Namibia innovators.

Your support will directly support greater inclusion and participation of Namibians in the global landscape of AI, enabling wider participation and contribution to advanced and shape technology design.

Support Tiers

Benefits for sponsors explanations

Participation: Guaranteed places for team members from your organisation to participate in the Indaba.

Stash and swag: Distribute stash (i.e., swag, branded items) in welcome packs.

Branding: Your logo on the Indaba website, newsletters, and official reports.

Demo: Have an interactive technology demonstration at stand or poster and exhibition sessions.

Stand: A marketing stand at the IndabaX 2023 throughout the week. Each sponsor will be given space to set their own stand.

Recognition: Offer a prize of your choosing to high-performing students from the poster sessions.

Info: A company description (i.e., boilerplate), typically a paragraph of around 150 words, in the DL IndabaX 2023 conference booklet, and website.

Panel: A representative from your organisation is a panellist in our main mentorship panel. Judge. Be a judge at the Indaba’s poster/exhibition sessions.

Judge: Be a judge at the IndabaX’s poster/hackathon/start competition sessions.

Evening event: Sponsors at this tier can additionally sponsor an evening event focussed on mentorship, community, and growth. Slots for this opportunity are limited.

Overview

Programme

The DL IndabaX Namibia 2023 will take place over 2 days, from 13 - 14 July 2023.

1. ·     The two-day event will begin with talks from AI/ML practitioners from both academia and industry, highlight the work of participants on the research and industry experiential day, and close with more specialised topics across a series of workshops.
2. ·     Kunene, Ugab and Zambezi sponsors wishing to host independent evening receptions could do so. We hope for these receptions to contain educational elements. Dates are to be coordinated with the organizing committee to avoid clashes.

Venue

Venue: High-Tech Transfer Select (HTTPS), lower campus Namibia University of Science & Technology. The HTPPS is the home of innovation.
